Description:
DJM is a full service digital agency. We are not just a web design agency; nor are we simply a digital consultancy. We provide award-winning digital design for clients large and small with requirements as diverse as they are interesting. Our focus has always been on listening to our clients’ needs and responding with a creative solution in whatever media is appropriate.
We are currently looking for a Multimedia Designer with Some Flash experience
Objective of the position:
Provide web/CD, outdoor, exhibition and video solutions for existing and new clients from concept to construction. The position-holder should assist in office task relating to the progression of the business and work in harmony with existing staff and clients in order to increase business opportunities for all.
Must-have software skills:
- Flash (portfolio examples required)
- Dreamweaver
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- Working knowledge of actionscript is essential
Additional software skills
- Final Cut/ Motion
- After Effects
- 3D Software
Responsibilities of the Position
- Determined, reliable. professional, and timely service to clients.
- Must meet/surpass clients expectation in all output (CD,web, outdoor, exhibition and video).
- Accessibility and availability to clients and staff (beyond normal business hours if necessary).
- A 38-hour workweek is typical, but commitment is expected outside of these hours if the project requires it.
Activities of the Position
- Designing for both online and offline materials and all associated design tasks.
- Video compositing, production and editing.
- Ensuring all design work is of professional standard.
- Assisting Account Directors in pitches and briefings.
- Liaising with project leaders on a regular basis.
Avenues for Future Personal Growth
- Increased responsibility within the company, particularly as it continues to develop.
- Opportunities to learn further disciplines and software to enhance personal portfolio of skills.
Performance Evaluation and Review
- Feedback questionnaires sent to each client following closing/contract renewal.
- Annual pay review.
Only applicants with some flash experience and a portfolio uploaded to Creativepool or with relevent links to their work within their CV"s will be considered for this position. |

Recent work
We recently produced a variety of digital experiences for Nycomed at the Winter British Thoracic Society meeting at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, London. One of the programmes included a holographic "virtual conversation", an example of which can be viewed below.

We recently completed a motion graphics project to accompany the DJ when playing his set at various venues around the world. The reel is based on album artwork and his label's brand.

After the success of our fusball night last year, we are running the evening again in April and inviting a select few to take on the mighty DJM 11. Balti, booze and balls.

January 2009
We Won! On Friday 30th January, Brand(x) and DJM were awarded the Geoff Brook award for Innovation at the PM Awards, Grosvenor House, London for the AstraZeneca SMART Roadshow project. DJM's MD, Dominic Marchant, was chuffed to bits although regretted not wearing a suit!

Omnitrope stand design/stand multimedia
Created for an exhibition in Istanbul for Sandoz, DJM created a virtual stand as a blue print for the actual build. Working closely with the lead agency, Brand(x), DJM provided a fast and cost-effective means of stand design alllowing the client to see the unit from all angles and with all on-stage multimedia in situ. Having agreed on the design, DJM worked with the build team to complete the construction within 4 weeks. Once shipped, DJM installed their own technology into the custom-built unit and managed all stand multimedia.

This is not a new site but we have made significant updates to the way it works in recent months. This site has won us many awards including being listed as one of IMA's Top 10 website of 2007. This is a simple but elegant execution that typifies our approach to online design: less is more.

Centre for Sight
Launched in 2008, we have recently refreshed certain areas of this site and added further functionality to enhance the site's appeal. We are now working with the client to create a TV ad utilising the same imagery and visual language as created for the site.
